Steve works as the Managing Director of the Tenant Advisory Services group in Houston representing corporate office users in their office lease negotiations.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Stephen N. Montgomery joined Transwestern in 2006. Prior to joining Transwestern, Steve worked at Cushman & Wakefield of Texas, Inc. where he specialized in tenant representation, corporate real estate services, and selling and leasing commercial and investment real estate.

Mr. Montgomery has been active in real estate brokerage since 1969 and has served in numerous capacities including principal with the Horne Company, founder of Oncor International, and co-founder of Montgomery Conine & Robinson Ltd.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS/RECOGNITION
Mr. Montgomery’s professional and civic memberships include the Urban Land Institute; past President, past Director and current membership in the Houston Office Leasing Brokers Association (HOLBA); and former Chair for four years, International Council - Houston Association of Realtors. He is a member and on the Board of Directors for the Houston Council – FIABCI (World Real Estate Federation) where has been involved with the organization for the past four years including attendance at the Berlin, United States, Athens and Bangkok World Congress. He has also represented FIABCI as Sponsorship Chairman at the U.S. World Congress in Houston in 2004. Steve and partner, Angus Hughes, won the prestigious NAIOP “Deal of the Year” Award for 2005 for their representation of the purchase of the 1100 Louisiana Building and Parking Garage.

Mr. Montgomery was a co-recipient of the Texas Association of Realtors Lone Star Award, Commercial Real Estate Deal of the Year -1994, for his participation in the sale of the current CenterPoint Energy headquarters building in Houston. Steve is a former member of the board of directors for the Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation, and is currently on the Broker Advisory Board of the Uptown Houston Association.

EDUCATION
Mr. Montgomery holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University and has continued with post-graduate studies in economics and real estate. He has been active in academia, holding an adjunct professorship in real estate economics, Graduate School of Architecture and Jones School of Business at Rice University. Mr. Montgomery was one of the founders of Episcopal High School, and a CEI Stakeholder.
